Myat Wai Xyan Hospital first opened its doors in August 2015 on 58th Street, between 122nd and 123rd Streets, Pyi Gyi Tagon Township, Mandalay.
What began as a small specialist clinic has steadily developed into a general hospital providing comprehensive healthcare services for patients of all ages.
Our growth has always been guided by a simple purpose: to continuously improve our facilities, capabilities and services to better meet the healthcare needs of our patients.
Our Journey
2015 — Where It Started
Myat Wai Xyan Hospital opened in August 2015 as a small specialist clinic in Mandalay.
2016 — Expanding Surgical Care
In September 2016, we added two dedicated operating theatres, expanding our ability to provide routine and emergency surgical procedures.
2017 — Moving Towards Connected Healthcare
In May 2017, we introduced an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
The system helps our healthcare teams maintain complete and accessible patient histories, test results and treatment plans, supporting better coordination between doctors and nurses while keeping patient information secure and private.
2022 — Minimally Invasive Surgery
In June 2022, we expanded our surgical capabilities by introducing laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery.
Using smaller incisions than traditional open surgery can offer benefits such as reduced postoperative pain, less blood loss, smaller scars and faster recovery for appropriate procedures.
2022 — Greater Precision in Orthopedic Surgery
We also introduced C-arm fluoroscopy-assisted surgery for orthopedic and trauma procedures.
Real-time imaging allows surgeons to visualize bones and internal structures during selected procedures, supporting accurate fracture alignment and implant placement.
Today — Comprehensive Healthcare Under One Roof
Today, Myat Wai Xyan Hospital provides services across General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, diagnostics, inpatient care and 24-hour emergency and admission services.
